This Eleventh Annual Open Bass Tournament is named for Eric “Heavy” Parquet, founding member and long-term President of Gold Rod Bass Club.  “Heavy” was an integral part and powerful force in establishing and building Gold Rod Bass Club.

 

In 2005, “Heavy” was diagnosed with prostate cancer and, after a lengthy battle, passed away in June 2007.  The club wishes to honor his service and his memory with this annual open tournament in his name.
